Nature-based

education for

all ages

classes & workshops

We live in a modern era where Green Spaces are becoming increasingly rare. With that, our natural connection to the Earth is also declining. Reconnecting to the world around us is an essential component to a healthy life.  Studies have shown that when we interact with living soil, our brains produce more serotonin. Soil microbes can actually make us more happy, and who doesn't want more of that? When we begin to interact with the environment in meaningful ways, we start to care more about what is being done to it.

Because we all know, there is no Planet B!

So, I feel it is of the utmost importance to return to the garden - for education, health, food, medicine, and well-being. I teach classes & facilitate workshops for us to reconnect and reintegrate the teachings of Earth back into our everyday lives,

for a greener & regenerative tomorrow.

It starts early...

We hear in indigenous teachings that our children are the ones who will inherit the Earth,

which is why it is a great responsibility to care for it.
We can see that what we do today will influence how children grow up and

interact with the environment tomorrow.

A question of mine has been "what are these precious beings inheriting"?

Have you noticed the hold that technology has on the youth? Always with a device in their hands, which instantaneously absorbs all of their attention, leaving nothing left of them to notice the world they live in.

They don't see the migrating birds, the change in weather, the different flowers in bloom. If they don't interact with Nature, how will they know how to care for it? Of course, technology can play an important role in developing. But when it consumes them throughout the day, I think that is pointing to a larger problem. Never before were there such issues with child development & social skills like we see today.

I truly feel that the connection to what is natural, green, and growing,

is the remedy for these challenging times.

My way of countering the technology obsession is to immerse the children I work with in the natural landscape. Nature is fascinating! All of life's biggest lessons can be seen in a garden. I have consistently seen that when children are taught how to tend and care for the plants, their behaviors change; the anxious ones calm down, the quiet ones perk up, the jokesters learn to focus. Together, they all learn the importance of teamwork, responsibility, cycles of life, compassion, intuition, communication, and so much more.
Children inherently understand the fact that we are the Earth's caretakers and it is indeed up to all of us
to keep our environment healthy, protected, and flourishing.

Curriculums today rarely include activities and lesson plans that focus on nature. Many educators have studied other subjects and do not have the experience in the garden, and schools don't provide the space for the students to have these interactions. I feel it is great importance to return education to the Earth in an exciting way, so that our future generations know the value of this precious planet, because we only have one! I wish to provide children with exciting, interactive, educational, and nurturing activities and classes

so that they can feel confident going into the real world; Nature.
